My Story

I am a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Today, I create full-time from my small home studio in Philadelphia, where painting and drawing continue to be my greatest creative outlet. While I work in several mediums, pet portraiture has become my true passion.

I grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and spent part of my childhood living on a farm. I could probably spend hours talking about all of the animals I've loved over the years. As a child, I spent my days riding horses through the woods, drawing and painting, and even training our family dog in agility as my high school graduation project. Eventually, I moved to Philadelphia with my cat, Oreo. During college, I began creating custom pet portraits for friends, family, and customers from the restaurants and cafés where I worked.

When I lost Oreo after 12 wonderful years together, I was devastated. He became the inspiration behind many of my original paintings, and losing him changed both my life and my artwork. Many people don't fully understand the depth of grief that comes with losing a beloved pet. It's difficult to explain unless you've experienced it yourself. Our animals become part of our everyday lives, our routines, and our families, leaving behind a space that can never truly be filled.

After Oreo's passing, I opened my Etsy shop and began creating custom pet portraits to help honor the animals who have meant so much to the people who love them. Since opening my shop in 2013, I have had the privilege of creating thousands of custom pet portraits for families across the Country. Every portrait I paint is created with the same compassion, care, and understanding that grew from my own experience of loving and losing a cherished companion. I know how deeply our pets shape our lives and how precious their memories become. It is truly an honor to create artwork that celebrates those bonds and preserves them for years to come.

If you're considering a custom portrait, I would be honored to create something meaningful for you. Please feel free to send me a message anytime.
